Emily Mack started working as a crewed charter broker in 2003. From harvesting oysters from a boat in subzero temperatures off the Maine Coast to working on lobster boats for the Department of Marine Resources, she is no stranger to the sea. Emily has been an officer on the Board of Directors of CYBA since 2009. She has served on the Ethics Committee, is currently on the Environmental Committee and is the Liaison between CYBA and the British Virgin Island Charter Yachts, (CYS). She goes to the Caribbean several times a year to inspect the yachts, interview the crews, and has an in depth knowledge of all of the yachts and she personally knows the crews that she recommends. Emily is an avid charterer herself and sails the BVI as often as she can. With her knowledge and her commitment to superior customer service, Emily has consistently maintained the position of one of the top charter brokers in the industry. Ellen Stewart, a yacht charter broker of 22 years, moved to St. Thomas in 1986 with her husband, Russell, a PADI dive instructor. An active member of the Charter Yacht Broker’s Association (CYBA) since 1992, Ellen currently holds the Vice President’s position. She has also served on the CYBA Board of Directors as the Treasurer for 6 years and is currently a member of the Ethics and Membership Committees. Ellen is a top charter broker and is highly skilled at matching the best Virgin Island charter yacht to her clients. Her knowledge of the area is unsurpassed, giving you excellent service. Several times a year, Ellen goes to the Caribbean Charter Yacht shows to inspect the yachts and interview the crews. Melody is a bareboat charter expert! Her expertise includes both sail and power yachts in the Caribbean and around the globe. As a frequent traveler to the BVI, she inspects the charter company's facilities and yachts yearly. She'll ensure your charter is planned and executed from start to finish! Having bareboated in the Virgin Islands for the past 23 years, Melody offers unique local knowledge of the cruising area. She enjoys staying on top of what's new and upcoming in the bareboat charter fleet and is always excited to assist her clients. Melody is a native to Tampa Bay, Florida, where being on the water is just part of life. She grew up enjoying wind-surfing, fishing, boating and diving. Before joining VI Sailing, Melody worked at The Moorings for over 11 years, where she was promoted from Vacation-Planning Specialist to Vacation-Planning Supervisor to Department Manager and finally, Yacht Ownership Representative. Melody really knows the charter industry inside and out! Melody and her family enjoy frequent visits to Tortola where they visit her mother, Valerie Rhymer, at Myett's Garden Inn and Grille in beautiful Cane Garden Bay. Melody has also spent time chartering in the Leeward Islands, Windward Islands, Bahamas, Tahiti and Australia.

Joann has been working in the bareboat sailing industry for over 13 years. Prior to joining Virgin Island Sailing as a Bareboat Expert, Joann was Reservations Manager and Charter Broker for The Catamaran Company. During the nine years with them, she spent four years working at their Tortola, BVI base. She became familiar with not only The Catamaran Company's fleet, but other company's yachts and operational bases as well. While enjoying this time around the dock, Joann developed a much better understanding of her clients needs! Let her put this knowledge and experience to work for you. Previous to working for The Catamaran Company, Joann worked for Sunsail. It was during her three years with their company that Joann acquired a love of boats and being on the water. Joann was born in California and attended school in Pennsylvania, where her family still resides. Currently, her home is in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Throughout the years, Joann has attended numerous boat shows in the Caribbean and Florida, familiarizing herself with the new models and keeping up-to-date with the older ones. Joann's knowledge of the fleets and the British Virgin Islands makes her a welcome addition to our excellent team of experts!

Tom DeMartine, along with his wife Sylvie founded SEVEN SEAS YACHT CHARTERS in 1987 after skippering yachts private and charter for 80,000 miles and visiting 23 countries. Tom and Sylvie acquired VIRGIN ISLAND SAILING, LTD. a Tortola, BVI based Corporation in 1993, and operate both companies out of the Florida offices. Tom has been an active member of the Charter Yacht Broker's Association (CYBA) since 1988. Tom was the Chairman of the Ethics Committee on its Board of Directors from 2003 – 2008 and served on their board of directors many years prior. He is dedicated to spending as much time as his clients need, to get acquainted with a particular boat or cruising area.
